Using the ideas of mobius and infinity, the necklace is a wreath of shelter. Sometimes large gatherings cause me extreme anxiety and it’s so much easier to shield myself with a piece of profound jewelry. This necklace is a representation of armour to give myself control over a given situation. If people are remarking on my jewelry, they’re not necessarily making small talk or forcing me out of my comfort zone. It’s a binky.
This was designed at Istituto Lorenzo de Medici as part of our found object exercise in Jewelry Making III with Lavinia Rosetti. My object was a TicTac and I wrapped it with sheet wire. There’s a very special closure on this with a fabulous opal detail on the clasp. This work inspired much of my 2026 collection.
Sterling silver, 14kt gold, Ethiopian opal
One-of-a-kind
